What are the applications of chloroacetic acid in various fields?


Chloroacetic acid is an important organic fine chemical raw material, which is widely used in the fields of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, dyes, oilfield chemicals, papermaking chemicals, textile additives, surfactants, electroplating, spices and flavors. Its main USES are as follows.

(1) pesticides. Chloroacetic acid can be used for the production of insecticides dimethoxide, dimethoxide oxide, herbicide 2, 4-dibutyl, 2,4, 5-t, acetochlor, butyloramine, methanolamine, glycolamine, thiocyanoacetic acid, naphthoacetic acid, naphthoacetate methyl ester, quinoxion, rice wenling, glyphosate and p-chlorophenoxyacetic acid.
